Log in with QR code

You can see on your device which version of iOS, iPadOS or Android you are using. This information is shown in the settings. If you have an Android device, the information is generally shown under the ‘software’ or ‘software information’ heading. On a device running iOS or iPadOS, you should look under the ‘info’ or ‘about’ heading.

If your device has at least Android 11 or iOS or iPadOS 15, you can use the ABN AMRO app. If the version is lower, check whether you can install an update. If you can’t, your device is not suitable.

No, they can’t. The app is secured with your identification code, your fingerprint, or facial recognition. Your banking details are not accessible to anyone else. If you do lose your phone, however, you can go to Internet Banking and block the ABN AMRO app.

You use the ABN AMRO app on your telephone or tablet. If you have an Apple device, you can download the ABN AMRO app from the Apple Store. If you have an Android device, download the app from the Google Play Store.

The ABN AMRO app uses the latest security features. The software is updated every other week. The banking environment is completely closed, just like Internet Banking. Your data is encrypted and transmitted via a secure connection. When you use the ABN AMRO app to log in to Internet Banking, you can rest assured that our QR codes are unique and specifically secured against fraud and forgery. After you scan the code, the app will ask you to enter your personal identification code, so it’s twice as secure.

No, it doesn’t. You only use the ABN AMRO app to log in. Once you are logged in to Internet Banking, you will no longer need your device. You can proceed with your banking as usual, on your laptop or PC. Of course, you can use mobile banking if you like.

Yes, you can still use the e.dentifier to log in to Internet Banking after installing the app. Note that we’ll be phasing out this device altogether in the future. The ABN AMRO app will then replace the e.dentifier.

For now, you can try logging in with the ABN AMRO app. Use the app to scan the QR code on the Internet Banking login screen. It’s convenient, because most people have their phone or tablet nearby anyway. It’s also more secure because you can continuously update the app - and the security features - to the latest version.

Do you have both a personal and a business account with us? Then you can add an additional profile to the app. You can log in separately with each profile, because each profile has its own account and its own identification code. If you want, you can add a personal photo to each profile. Please note that if you set up more than one profile, logging in with your fingerprint or with face recognition will be disabled. You will then only be able to log in with the identification code.

Here’s how to add a profile:

1. Go to the log-in screen in the app
2. If you see an image of a cyclist, swipe the logo or your photo to the left until you see Manage profiles. If you don’t see this image, tap the logo or your photo
3. Tap Add profile and follow the steps

Once you’ve done that, here’s how to log in with a different profile:

1. Open the app and tap the profile photo.
2. Tap the profile you want to log in with.
3. Log in
