With a Student Credit Card, you can buy your festival tickets and make purchases in the App Store. It comes with a spending limit of up to €1,000 per month and you will receive the bill for your purchases at the end of each month.

Who is it for?

Students who have a Student Package (with an income of at least €500 per month) and who are in possession of a Dutch identity document.

Spending limit

We need to know your net income to work out your spending limit. This way, we can make sure the spending limit is right for your financial situation.

The following terms and conditions apply to the Student Credit Card:

  • If your net monthly income is lower than €500, you’re unfortunately not eligible for a credit card right now. 
  • If your net monthly income is between €500 and €1,150, you automatically get a credit card with a €500 spending limit. 
  • If your net monthly income is higher than €1,150, you can get a credit card with a spending limit between €500 and €2,500.

Wages from a (part-time) job and the money you receive from the Education Executive Agency DUO both count towards your net income. Allowances, such as rent and healthcare allowances, don’t count.

We can’t guarantee that you’ll receive the spending limit you apply for, as each application is assessed individually. International Card Services (ICS) will look at your personal financial situation to work out your spending limit. This includes a check with the Dutch Credit Registration Office (BKR).

The following insurance comes with your Student Credit Card at no extra charge:

Apply for a credit card in 3 steps

Stap 1

First apply for the Student Credit Card and check your details. If your details are incomplete, first add the missing information. International Card Services (ICS) will check your application and will contact you if they have any further questions.

Step 2

Choose your PIN once your application has been processed, so that you receive your credit card as soon as possible. Once you have submitted your application, ICS will send you an email stating how to do this.

Step 3

After you have selected your PIN, you will have to wait just a short while longer. You will receive your Student Credit Card within 5 working days.
